Bourbon Chai Hot Toddy

Ingredients

  • 1 bag chai tea (I used Twinings, but any brand will do)
  • 8 ounces hot water
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • squeeze of fresh lemon juice
  • 2 ounces bourbon
  • cinnamon stick, cardamom pods, cloves to garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large heat-proof mug, pour the hot water over the tea bag. Let it steep for 3-4 minutes, then discard the tea bag.
  2. Stir in the honey, lemon juice and bourbon. Serve immediately.
